Many Impact Wrestling fans are understandably about the future of the show on Pop TV after the network moved them to the later 10 pm timeslot. The move is another troubling sign especially after ratings nosedived since Slammiversary. Ratings took another tumble last week in the 10 pm timeslot as the show drew less than 100,000 viewers, the least-watched TV show in the history of the company.
So you can imagine how fans felt last night as they watched a commercial for AroLucha airing during the Impact broadcast.
So, you might be asking…what is AroLucha? The company launched last year and the CEO is Arolxe Marketing’s Jason Brown. According to their WeFunder.com crowdfunding campaign, Konnan and Rey Mysterio own shares. The company taped a pilot in Nashville last year and they raised almost $130,000 from their crowdfunding campaign. Former WWE Superstars Ron and Don Harris are listed as founders.
The commercial said that AroLucha is “coming in 2019” and that got fans wondering if the promotion is replacing Impact. For what it’s worth, Impact has yet to announce a TV deal for next year.
