At Friday’s Impact Wrestling tapings, Bruce Prichard came out to address the situation with the Impact Tag Team Championship. The titles were held by Matt and Jeff Hardy but they are obviously vacated since they are now gone from the company and likely headed to WWE.
Prichard made a comment about titles being won in the ring and not in space (a reference to Matt Hardy’s “through space and time” line) and said that the top 4 teams will compete “in 2 weeks” to determine the new champions.
As noted before, The Hardys did offer to drop the belts but Anthem declined their offer.
Also, LAX returned in a segment involving teams demanding the tag team titles. Reno Scum, Laredo Kid & Garza Jr., Decay, and LAX (with the returning Konnan and Homicide) all tried to stake claim to the titles.
