Michael Elgin provides injury update

Michael Elgin appeared on episode 223 of The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling to talk about various topics. During the interview, Elgin provided an injury update. Elgin suffered a fractured orbital bone while competing in an eight-man tag team match against L.I.J. at the NJPW King of Pro Wrestling event in mid-October. Elgin had to undergo surgery to get the orbital bone fixed.

Elgin stated that the eye is great and explained that doctors took a bone from his hip and put it under his orbital because if you use the same bones there, it can break easier. He noted that he may have gotten a staph infection due to the surgery. He went to the Hospital and got checked out. Doctors didn’t find any bacteria in his hip. He was put on anabolics and hopes to return to the gym soon.

When asked if his goal is to return to the ring in time for NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 11 on January 4th, “That is definitely the goal I have in mind. You don’t want to miss the Tokyo Domes, so I will not be missing that.”
