Bobby Fish provides update on his future with Ring of Honor

Bobby Fish recently spoke with Brian Fritz of Sporting News about his future in pro wrestling. Back on March 16th, Fish announced via Twitter that he would once again be taking independent bookings as of March 27th. Now he is a free agent. When asked about his status with ROH; he said that just because he is back to take taking indy dates, it doesn’t mean that he is not doing ROH dates moving forward. “I’ve been exclusive to them now for going on three years. The only real change is that at the moment, I’m not exclusive anymore. In no way, did I not want to continue working with Ring of Honor,” said Fish. “Under an exclusive deal, you don’t have that ability to test the market, so to speak. Because of that, this was a decision that started to make more sense.” He noted that he doesn’t know what kind of time frame is looking at and that he is flying by the seat of his pants. He said that it’s kind of a nerve-wracking but exciting at the same time.

When asked about his future, he said that he has no idea and that he can’t think of a time that he has been more up in the air as to what is going on now. He said that there needs to be a lot of stuff that needs to be sorted out and settled.
