Bio

Sting is currently under contract to World Wrestling Entertainment. He was known as the only top name from WCW to never jump to WWE. Sting made his WWE debut on the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view on November 23, 2014 when he got involved in the main event of the show. Sting spent 14 years with Jim Crockett Promotions and Ted Turner''s World Championship Wrestling. Long time fans may best remember Sting for his matches in the late 1980s with Ric Flair and later on in the 1990s with Cactus Jack and Vader. Sting would have a brief run as part of the Four Horsemen in 1990 until the group turned on himn at Clash of the Champions 10 on February 6, 1990.

Sting would morph from having a flatop haircut with bleached blonde hair to a dark character that rarely spoke in 1996. The gimmick, known by fans as the Crow gimmick, would help WCW set pay-per-view records. Sting would make appearances but not wrestle on WCW TV from late 1996 until his big match with Hulk Hogan at Starrcade 1997.

Sting wrestled Ric Flair on the last edition of WCW Monday Nitro. That night would turn out to be the end of Sting''s full time wrestling career. He wrestled on some shows for World Wrestling All-Stars in Australia and then would make spoaradic appearances for TNA beginning in 2003.

Sting would lose his last match in TNA to Ethan Carter III.

Rumors swirled throughout 2014 about Sting''s potential future with WWE until he finally made his appearance at Survivor Series that year.
