DJ Z discusses the current state of TNA, plans for 2017, more

TNA X-Division Champion DJ Z recently spoke with Ryan Rider on Main Event Radio this week about several topics. During the interview, he was asked what TNA can do to help bring the X-Division back to prominence. He believes that the division is strong right now with the likes of Eddie Edwards, Trevor Lee, Andrew Everett, and Mark Andrews. He thinks that the current wrestlers have brought back what the X-Division was when AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, and Samoa Joe were featured as stars while competing in the division years ago. “One goal is to revitalize the X-Division. Get people talking about it again, having the craziest matches I can have. Putting the attention back on the X-Division, back on TNA; just like it used to be.”

When asked about the upcoming Impact Wrestling TV taping in January, he said that he is looking forward to it and that 2016 was his most successful year of his career because he is focused on wrestling. “Now that I’ve kind of rediscovered my love for wrestling, there’s so many more opportunities and cool things that I have left to do, and I’m really looking forward to the future.”

When asked about where the direction of TNA is going into 2017, DJ Z said that TNA has new people in charge and things are exciting right now. He expects 2017 to be a great year for the fans and wrestlers. He encourages the fans to tune into the show and see what they’re doing. He did note that he hopes to get back on the road doing live events. “TNA live events are some of the most fun I’ve had in wrestling.”
