There have been talks between Jeff Jarrett and Ed Norholm of Anthem Media, the new or soon-to-be parent company of TNA Wrestling. It’s not clear yet if the purchase of the majority stake has happened yet. The news was first reported by John Pollock of The Fight Network.
The talks have been preliminary thus far and it’s being said that they are just looking for background information so it would be early to say if Jarrett would have a role with TNA.
The belief is that Jarrett would not be dropping his Global Force Wrestling promotion. While no one has said this, I wonder if this could lead to a situation where TNA rebrands itself as GFW since the TNA name has always been looked at as a negative by their former business partners/advertisers. I think it makes sense that they would want to talk to Jarrett because some of TNA’s best years creatively were when Jarrett and Scott DiAmore were at the helm.
