NFL free agent to wrestle at Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary pay-per-view

DeAngelo Williams will be wrestling at the Impact Wrestling Slammiversary show. Williams was a running back with the Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers but is currently a free agent. At the last tapings in India, they teased that he would be teaming with Moose but he did not show up. The build up to Slammiversary for Moose’s match is that he does not have friends backing him up for his feud with Chris Adonis and Eli Drake. Williams will eventually step in to help his friend.

Williams was at the Impact offices in Nashville on Monday. In the clip below, he said that he wanted to visit and still had not gotten over his scuffle with Davey Richards from a few weeks ago. Mathews showed him around the offices before pointing him in the direction of Jeff Jarrett’s office.

Given that the company is in a rebuilding phase, this is a good move since Williams will help generate some publicity ahead of next month’s pay-per-view.
