Following her departure from Impact Wrestling, Maria Kanellis is rumored to be headed to WWE. The Wrestling Observer newsletter reports that she has a destination but she’s keeping things quiet. Typically, WWE wants wrestlers to keep things quiet if they are bringing someone back.
Kanellis and her husband Mike Bennett are both free agents. Bennett recently dropped the Northeast Wrestling title to Cody Rhodes at their show in Port Jervis, NY. Maria has also been preparing for life away from wrestling. She is the CEO of MM Wonderland Productions, a wedding/event planning company in Providence, RI.
Kanellis started her career in the wrestling business with WWE after she competed in the 2004 Diva Search. Although she did not win, she was still hired and her role was to be a backstage interviewer but she later began to wrestle and later appeared in the April 2008 edition of Playboy magazine.
Following her release from WWE in 2010, she worked for Ring Of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling and for Impact Wrestling for the past year alongside her husband.
