The Money In The Bank ladder match is looming closer and fans have not one, but two ladder matches to look forward to this year.
The first-ever Women’s Money In The Bank ladder match is going to be a fierce competition to say the least. All six women will scratch and claw at each other in order to get to that brand new white briefcase. But one lady has the edge when it comes to betting odds.
Please let this be stressed that it’s not a sure thing someone’s going to come out on top when they have the best betting odds. So please bet responsibly (if you bet on predetermined sporting events). But betting odds are still a pretty good indication of how WWE is leaning when it comes to creative.
Carmella currently leads the way of coming down with a guaranteed contract for the SmackDown Women’s Title. It might be the power of James Ellsworth, but regardless it looks like The Princess Of Staten Island has best odds of capturing this historic moment in WWE history.
Carmella’s victory isn’t a lock, but if she wins it might be a pretty good sign Naomi is going to beat Lana at the PPV as well.
It’s been in the rumor mill for a long time that Baron Corbin was going to capture the Money In The Bank briefcase this year. He’s been earmarked for greatness and The Observer has written about these plans for him to find himself in a main event slot on SmackDown Live sooner than later.
Therefore it should be no real surprise that The Lone Wolf is leading the pack for the men’s ladder match. If Mahal retains his title then it would be sweet to see John Cena defeat him for the title on July 4th when he comes back. That would soften any resentment that Cena just broke Ric Flair’s world title reign record and then Baron Corbin could come down and immediately beat John for the title so Cena can go back to Hollywood. I’m just spit-balling though.
Of course WWE could always change their plans at the last minute as they are prone to do. Vince McMahon could just decide he doesn’t want two heels winning the ladder matches on the day of the show. But for now it looks like Carmella and Baron Corbin are most likely to be walking away from St Louis this Sunday with guaranteed title matches in their back pocket.
