Baron Corbin recently spoke with ESPN about defeating Kevin Owens, AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler, Shinsuke Nakamura to win the Money In The Bank Ladder Match at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view event in St. Louis, MO at the Royal Farms Arena. When asked about winning the match, which guarantees him a WWE Championship Match within one year’s time, he said that it’s an amazing moment and he is here to make his mark in WWE history. “I started that on Day 1 when I walked in and won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and now tonight, being Mr. Money in the Bank, pulling that briefcase down.”
WWE has already started to tease tension between Corbin and current WWE Champion Jinder Mahal, as seen here. When asked about his approach to cashing in the opportunity, he noted that he is going to be calculated with his decision. “Unfortunately for him, Shinsuke felt that tonight. I saw an opportunity and took it. I’ll watch very closely, and I’ll take my chance, and I’ll walk away successful.”
Corbin also discussed reaching another goal and more. You can read the entire interview here.
