Bobby Roode’s “Glorious” theme song was originally written for a current top WWE star

Several months ago during an NXT Takeover conference call, Triple H noted that the “Glorious” theme song was originally written for another wrestler but that person turned it down. He never said who it was for but that person’s name has finally been revealed. In the latest Wrestling Observer newsletter, it was noted that the theme song was originally written for Shinsuke Nakamura.

Nakamura was said to be hands on when it came to his music and felt that the “Glorious” song did not fit him. He was a big part of the process with the creation of “The Rising Son” and it turned out great for him and the “Glorious” song turned out really well for Bobby Roode. Can you imagine what Roode’s WrestleMania entrance will look and sound like when he finally makes it to the big stage?

Nakamura’s song is the most listened-to song on the WWEMusic account on Youtube with over 10.5 million views. Roode’s song is the second most-listened-too song with over 5.6 million views.
