Chris Jericho recently had Jimmy Jacobs on his podcast Talk Is Jericho when he opened up a little bit about Impact Wrestling while making sort of a surprising statement at the same time.
“They’re not done yet. They’re not done yet either. There is some stuff coming up there that will be surprising to a lot of people” Chris Jericho said while speaking to Jimmy Jacobs about Impact Wrestling.
This is a nice change of pace from what Y2J had previously said about the company which was usually dismissive other than to praise the talent for doing good work. Some have assumed he’s talking about the Don Callis rumors that he might be coming into the promotion.
But since Jericho popped up in New Japan and is a free agent, who knows if he’s thinking about making a run with Impact Wrestling as well. There were rumors in 2006 that he might be making a run with TNA/Impact Wrestling, but that obviously fell through when he decided to stick with WWE. But it won’t stop people from talking about this new little observation from the Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla.
Let’s not forget that Jericho did some business with TNA/Impact in 2006. This video aired as part of the hype for their Bound For Glory pay-per-view:
