CM Punk offered a big money deal to return to pro wrestling

5 Star Wrestling owner Daniel Hinkles is making headlines in the UK after offering a staggering $1 million dollars to CM Punk if he would be willing to wrestle some shows on their upcoming tour. That is unheard of for an independent wrestling promotion and the deal would be for a limited number of dates.

The idea is for him to compete in their 128-man tournament that kicks off next month in Liverpool. Hinkles has been trying to get in touch with Punk for over a year. Hinkles has made it clear that the offer is real.

Clearly, they are already spending big money by bringing in names like John Morrison and Rey Mysterio. Although Punk has talked about fighting again in UFC, nothing has been announced and there are no signs from UFC that a fight date will be set this year. Punk has said before that he would not close the door on wrestling again but if he did so, it would not be with WWE.

Here are the announced 5 Star Wrestling tour dates:

6/10 – Liverpool (Echo Arena)
6/17 – Blackburn (Silver Blades Ice Arena)
6/24 – Belfast (S.S.E. Arena)
7/1 – Sheffield (Sheffield Arena)
7/8 – Dundee (Dundee Ice Arena)
7/15 – Aberdeen (The GE Oil & Gas Arena)
7/22 – Leeds (First Direct Arena)
7/29 – Cardiff (Motorpoint Arena)
8/5 – London (Copper Box Arena)
8/12 – Newcastle (Metro Radio Arena)
12/30 – Manchester (Manchester Arena)
