Cody Rhodes explains why Vince Russo is not welcome at the ALL IN show

The ALL IN show sold out in less than an hour on Sunday despite the fact that they only announced one match (Cody Rhodes challenging Nick Aldis for the NWA Championship). It should be a fun weekend that also includes the first-ever Starrcast podcast convention with names like Bruce Prichard, Eric Bischoff, Sean Waltman and many others advertised to appear. One name that is not listed is Vince Russo.

On Friday, Russo was briefly being promoted for the convention but he was quickly pulled and Cody Rhodes let it be known on Twitter that they would not be rewarding bad behavior.

Russo said on Twitter that he is ready to appear at ALL IN but Rhodes responded, “We don’t reward bad behavior. Stay away from our event.”

So, why is Russo not welcome? During an interview with the Voices of Wrestling podcast, Rhodes said that it had to do with some of the things that Russo has said in the past, presumably on his podcast.

Two current top independent promotions could be added to the WWE Network soon

VOW’s Rich Kraetsch said, “No. Cody flat out told me in our interview today that the homophobia and nom lln wrestling things are why he didn’t want him being apart of it. We think similarly. He’s a bad dude I don’t care that he booked dumb s**t in 1999.”

So there you have it.
