Early WWE Smackdown Live preview: Two matches set + more hype for Clash of Champions

Following last week’s Lumberjack match that teased that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were about to get fired, Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan announced that he was not going to fire anyone but Owens would be stepping in the ring against Randy Orton. WWE is hyping that this is Orton’s chance to get revenge for what Owens and Zayn did to him during the 5 vs. 5 match at the Survivor Series pay-per-view.

Matches announced for Tuesday night’s Smackdown Live:

– Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens
AJ Styles vs. The Singh Brothers in a 2-on-1 handicap match
– “Do you want to play the game?” edition of The Fashion Files

Also, presumably, they will further the storyline between the Smackdown veterans and the NXT stars that attacked them last week and they will probably continue the Bobby Roode/Baron Corbin feud.

Meanwhile, there is not much announced for 205 Live, but Hideo Itami is expected to debut soon so it’s possible that we’ll see him this week.
