Former WWE Superstar Enzo Amore wants everyone to know that he had no idea that he was being investigated for rape until the allegations became public on social media. Amore claimed on Twitter that his lawyer emailed the police on January 22nd to find out what was going on.
“THE POLICE NEVER CALLED ME. EVER…. MY Lawyers EMAILED them: January 22nd 2018. #ArmChairDetective 🤣🤣🤣🤣 think you kno wtf is goin in smh,” Amore said.
In a second tweet, he wrote, “I hate to be the 1 to pull the nipple out of the baby’s mouth.. but NO. I WAS NOT CONTACTED ONCE BY THE POLICE BEFORE JAN. 22nd. #bigFACTS”
In response to people that are skeptical of what he is saying: “Don’t believe my last tweet? Your an armchair detective? The police have an open line: call em & ask… they’ll call u back in 4 months.”
It will be interesting to see how WWE handles this. The word backstage was that he was released because he did not tell them about the police investigation. However, Amore’s tweets contradict that narrative.
For the record, the police report has not been released so the only thing we know is Amore’s side. If the report corroborates Amore’s claim then he has a big reason to be upset with WWE.
