First match announced for tonight’s SmackDown Live, The Rock’s Seven Bucks Productions launches pilot program

– WWE is in London, England at The O2 Arena for tonight’s SmackDown Live TV tapings. WWE has announced the first match for the show. Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will wrestle Natalya in a singles match. WWE has already announced that Dolph Ziggler will confront Shinsuke Nakamura on the show. We will be providing live spoilers from the tapings this afternoon.

– Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions will launch its first-ever pilot program in partnership with Studio71. Six pilots will be launched by Seven Bucks Digital Studios and Studio71 later this year, which will make it a first for the internet for original online content. Variety, who was the first to report the news, reached out to Johnson for a comment on the announcement.

“Our fans love the premium content we put out on the channel each week. Whether it’s a recurring series like the infamous Rock Q&A or a collaboration with surprising partners like Millenials: The Musical, we are able to entertain and engage our global audience in new ways. This pilot program will allow our channel to grow into new territories and change the way the game is played.”
