In the lead-up to the 2017 Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, Kevin Owens and Vince McMahon had a very interesting segment on SmackDown Live. The segment was to help build-up Owens and Shane McMahon’s Hell In A Cell bout. Owens attacked McMahon with a headbutt, before delivering a frog splash on the WWE CEO. This happened after Owens tricked McMahon into giving him amnesty for attacking ‘a McMahon.’ It was truly a great segment that added a lot of personal issues to the storyline between Owens and Shane.
Speaking to “Inside The Ropes” recently, Owens talked about working with McMahon on SmackDown Live. “KO” called the moment “surreal” and isn’t sure if he’ll ever get a bigger WWE moment than that again:
“It was really surreal. I don’t know if I’ll ever reach that kind of moment again,” Owens said. “Sometimes I wonder, I’ve been here for three years and I’ve done so much. I’ve lived so many incredible things, that moment with Vince probably being the pinnacle of it, along with [winning] the Universal Title.”
