Randy Orton went out of action to get his knee fixed which is why Jeff Hardy is currently carrying around the United States title. To be fair, Orton works really hard especially for someone on a heavy part-time schedule. The Viper has given so many years to WWE it is totally reasonable that he gets to pick and choose his dates. But this recent hiatus from the ring was to help repair a much-needed knee injury that he was working on for quite some time now.
PW Insider reports that Randy Orton has seen WWE’s doctors in Birmingham Alabama where he is most likely going there to rehab his injury.
A meniscus tear recovery is around two to three months and since he went under the knife last month he still has a little ways to go. However, the important part is he’s well on his way to making a full recovery.
At this point, it’s unknown if he will be involved with SummerSlam but it’s not out of the cards if that kind of timeframe is expected.
