When The Hardy Boyz returned to WWE at WrestleMania, there was no doubt that they would get a huge reaction. But there was concern that they would get a nostalgia reaction for a couple of weeks and then fizzle out. That turned out to be false and they stayed over for months until Jeff Hardy went down with an injury.
Interestingly, Lita was also brought back into the fold as part of the commentary team for the Mae Young Classic. So, is there a chance that we’ll see Team Xtreme together one more time? During a recent Q & A in Paris, France, she was asked that question.
Lita said, “I don’t think that its Team Xtreme without Lita, so all I want to say is keep your eyes open if you see a third member, whoever the Hardys are facing, messing around with them and their needs to be an equalizer potentially for a ‘One Night Only’ attraction, I think that would be fun.”
There’s so much more that could have been done with The Hardys as a team but that will have to be on hold until Jeff returns in a few months. In the meantime, Matt will continue as a singles superstar and, perhaps, we’ll get a WWE-version of the “Broken” Matt Hardy character.
There is one thing that could prevent a Team Xtreme reunion from happening. Reby Hardy doesn’t seem to be a big fan of Lita. Click here to read what she said about her just a few months ago and click here to read Lita’s full Q & A.
