Man charged in death of girlfriend’s 2-year old daughter after performing a Batista Bomb

2-year old girl Addie Cook from Missouri has died after reportedly being slammed by her mother’s boyfriend. According to reports, he performed wrestling moves, including a “Batista Bomb” on the little girl.

Police say that the mother, 19-year old Cheyenne Cook, and boyfriend, 24-year old Richard Gamache, Jr. tortured the girl and later tried to cover it up. Police and EMS were made aware of the abuse after getting a call on May 16 because the little girl was suffering from seizures. She died a few days later at the hospital.

“This child was essentially tortured,” Sheriff Marshak said in a statement to the local Fox affiliate in St. Louis. “Our prayers are with ‘AC’ and the investigators that were intimately involved with this investigation.”

The mother is also being charged for being complacent and not intervening or seeking medical help. The boyfriend was charged with abuse of neglect of a child with a $500,000 cash-only bond. The mother was charged with endangering the welfare of a child with a $2,500 cash-only bond.

The child’s extended family has set up a GoFundMe account to help cover for funeral expenses. If you’d like to help, click here for more information. Her organs were donated to Children’s Hospital.
