Money In The Bank qualifying match announced for WWE Smackdown Live

The Miz and Seth Rollins had the match of the night at the WWE Backlash pay-per-view. Unfortunately, it looks like their feud is over because they are on separate brands but Miz is now setting his sights on the WWE Championship. In order to do that he must win the Money In The Bank briefcase.

During the Backlash post-show, The Miz announced that he will be in a qualifying match on Smackdown Live and the winner will enter the Money In The Bank match at next month’s pay-per-view. There was no mention of who will be his opponent.

Based on what happened at Backlash, it’s looking like we will see Roman Reigns challenging Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship in their final match before Lesnar leaves to go to the UFC. Also, the Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles feud is not settled so it looks like that match will happen again next month with a different stipulation. Big Cass vs. Daniel Bryan also seems likely for next month’s pay-per-view.

The Money In The Bank show will emanate from Chicago’s Allstate Arena on June 17th. It will be part of a big weekend for WWE. In addition to the MITB show, NXT Takeover, Raw and Smackdown Live will all emanate from the same arena.
