If you are a fan of 205 Live then you should be optimistic about the future because there are more things coming that should strengthen the brand. WWE, specifically Triple H, is looking at taking the brand on the road again and doing experimental tapings in May or June but something likely between May and September.
As previously noted, Ricochet and Lio Rush are being groomed for the brand sooner than later. Rush isn’t really being pushed much in NXT but people in the company are high on his star potential for someone of his size. A monkey wrench was thrown into WWE’s plans because the original idea was to push Enzo Amore as the top star of the brand. Ryan Satin noted a few weeks ago that he heard that Rush would be in the Cruiserweight title tournament but those plans may have changed because Rush was welcoming the birth of his second child. The spot went to Buddy Murphy.
Also, as reported earlier this week, there are plans to introduce a new Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship. That explains why we’ve been seeing more tag team matches lately on the 205 Live TV show.
