Kairi Hojo, 28, announced at Saturday’s STARDOM event that she is leaving the company. Hojo is one of the best wrestlers in the world…yes, better than most male wrestlers. It had been known within wrestling that she was leaving because she signed with WWE back in March.
The Wrestling Observer was the first to report months ago that she was expected to go to WWE as they were looking to get her and STARDOM’s top star, Io Shirai. As of this writing, Shirai, 26, has not signed a deal with WWE but she was at the Performance Center recently.
Needless to say, the future for NXT looks bright and they have really loaded up the women’s roster on that brand in recent months.
