Former NWA/WCW World Heavyweight Champion made an appearance at a wrestling show in Qatar on Friday night. The event, titled “QPW Super Slam,” had names like Booker T, Rey Mysterio, Mil Muertes, Apolo, Brian Cage, Chris Masters (aka Chris Adonis) Carlito, PJ Black, Matt Cross and Alberto El Patron. The show was headlined by Johnny Mundo vs. Cody Rhodes.
Sting was billed as the main attraction. Of course, he did not wrestle but he interfered in the Brian Cage vs. Alofa match. We are told that the promotion shelled out big bucks to bring in some of these names so that explains why Sting was there because he is not cheap and he does not do many wrestling appearances.
I must say – for a 58-year-old, he still looks to be in pretty good shape. It’s too bad that we never got to see him take on The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Check out some of the photos of Sting at the QPW show below:
