Randy Orton defends his father, Jinder Mahal retains the WWE Championship at Money In The Bank PPV

Jinder Mahal retained the WWE Championship at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view. Before the match got started, they introduced several wrestling legends that were sitting at ringside. Greg Gagne, Baron Von Raschke, Larry “The Axe” Hennig, Sgt Slaughter, Bob Orton, Jr. and Ric Flair were at ringside to watch the championship match. They were introduced as “St. Louis wrestling legends.”

Orton tweaked his knee after a bad landing at ringside so that played into the story of the match. Orton had the match won after hitting the RKO but the Sing Brothers put Mahal’s foot on the bottom rope. The referee then proceeded to kick out the Singh Brothers from the ringside area. As they were leaving, they walked over to the legends at ringside. One of the brothers grabbed Bob Orton, Jr. by his shirt and that caused Randy to come down and defend his father and fend off the brothers. Randy destroyed both brothers and slammed one through a table. He also hit him with an RKO. Randy then hit the other brother with an RKO through a table. As Randy rolled back in the ring, Mahal grabbed him and hit the Colossus finisher and pinned him.

WWE has big plans for Mahal. We won’t spoil it here but if you want to know who is rumored to be his opponent for SummerSlam then click here.
