For those of you that have asked, WWE made the decision to keep The New Day off television because of Kofi Kingston’s ankle injury. The feeling was that it would be better to hold off his debut because they are better as a three man group and because fans need a break from them. It’s the same reason why they are airing vignettes for Lana’s Smackdown Live “debut.”
It’s believed that Kingston should be ready to return in about eight weeks so the group will seem fresh when the return. Big E and Xavier Woods did not wrestle at the recent live events.
