As noted earlier on the site, it looks like Matt and Jeff Hardy are on their way out of Impact Wrestling. They would have preferred to stay at Impact but it doesn’t look like that’s happening because of issues with the new management. As noted before, the feeling is that Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantell would favor a traditional booking approach and the feeling is that the “Broken” storyline that the Hardys have been doing over the past year will not be a part of the new direction. It’s always possible that a last-minute deal could be worked out but it seems highly unlikely based on Reby Hardy’s latest tweets.
She wrote, “Why try to do things the right way when you get bs & drama in return? Matt is a nice guy. I’LL keep the s**ts “hostage”. F**k outta here.” In two other tweets, she added, “I’ve said it many times: TNA was the perfect situation for our family & how grateful I was for professionalism/open communication/respect. Now think about what kinda negative changes & straight f**kery would have to go down for us to leave.”
Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that The Hardys are likely headed to WWE since they have told promoters that they would not be taking dates after April. Also, ShopMattHardy.com, run by Reby, is shutting down this week. She cited the fact that she is a full-time mom and pregnant again but the timing is interesting.
Impact Wrestling tapings are happening beginning this Thursday and it would feel odd to not have their hottest act on those shows. Losing Drew Galloway, Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy would be a huge blow for the company.
Matt Hardy posted this tweet:
It shall be an INTRIGUING week for the professional wrestling industry. pic.twitter.com/8pDkzwJu3y
