ROH officials reportedly not happy about Nigel McGuinness joining WWE

As noted, former Ring of Honor Champion Nigel McGuinness will co-host the new WWE United Kingdom Title tournament on the WWE Network along with Michael Cole in January. Prior to Thursday’s announcement, it was speculated that McGuinness would be signing with WWE to become a coach at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. However, it appears that WWE had different plans for McGuinness.

ROH officials were not aware of McGuinness leaving the promotion until this past weekend, which made them upset with him. At least that is the word, according to PWInsider.

It should be noted Triple H did state at the press conference that WWE intends on airing a weekly show involving UK talents on the WWE Network next year and I would assume that McGuiness would be a color commentator for that show as well.
