On Monday night, The Authors Of Pain made their debut on the main roster in a squash match against Heath Slater and Rhyno on Monday Night Raw. Ellering went to the ring with his team but it was made clear after the match that AOP would be moving forward without the legendary manager by their side.
Apparently, the prevailing rumor going around online is that Ellering didn’t want to go on the road and that is why he is no longer with AOP. That is incorrect and as best I can tell, it was a decision made by Vince McMahon. McMahon is not a big fan of managers so it’s no surprise that he decided to have AOP move up to Raw without Ellering.
The story about Ellering disliking the travel schedule is not true. In fact, Ellering shot that rumor down on Twitter.
In response to a fan, Rachael Ellering said the following on Monday night: “Oh you believe huh? Good try, buddy.”
Paul Ellering said the following on Saturday: “For the record…I love traveling. I have seen this road before. My ♞ Algorithm for greatness stands the test of time. @WWENXT @WWENetwork @WWEUniverse #Champions”
So, there you have it. It was Triple H’s idea to bring in Ellering in 2016 so hopefully, there is still a spot for him in NXT either on camera or helping out the young talent behind the scenes.
Oh you believe huh? Good try, buddy.
