As we first broke earlier today, Sean Waltman’s disappearance on Saturday and Sunday was due to his arrest at Los Angeles airport. The police report has more details on what he was arrested for.
Essentially, the K-9 dog detected narcotics in his luggage and alerted the human officer. Waltman was already listed on the United States watch list by the Customs and Border Protection agency and was stopped before he was able to board his flight to the UK.
The police report revealed that he had “three Cannabis Chocolate Bars, Two THC liquid Cigarettes, 15 Meth/Amphetamine capsules, and 23 Meth/Amphetamine capsules.” He also had $736.10 in cash. Since he stated that he would be back in Los Angeles on 5/1, it was determined that “the large quantity of pills plus the large quantity of U.S. currency are associated with narcotics sales.”
He was booked on narcotics possession and intent to sell. That explains the felony charge and the $35,000 bond. He could face up to 4 years in prison if he is convicted.
There’s more to the story. When he was booked, it was revealed that he had a warrant out for a previous DUI and an existing warrant in Pennsylvania. Before details on this story got out, Waltman indicated on Twitter that his issues were not due to a relapse.
