WWE is bringing James Ellsworth back to the company. According to PWInsider, there have been several pitches made to bring him back and it has been confirmed that he will be at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view in Chicago on Sunday.
Ellsworth was released last November after his contract expired. He was gracious when he left but there was some disappointment from his side because there were plans for him that fell through.
It would seem that the most logical match to have him involved with is the Women’s Money In The Bank match. Perhaps, they can tease a similar finish to last year’s match where he helped Carmella win the briefcase or he can involve himself in the Smackdown Women’s Championship match that will feature Carmella defending against Asuka. That is speculation from me but his scheduled to be on the show in some form.
The 33-year-old has continued wrestling on the independent scene since he was released last November.
UPDATE: Ellsworth apparently read the story about his WWE return and he has responded. Click here to read what he said about his plans for Sunday.
