The 10 Greatest Assets to WWE’s Future

In terms of pure talent, this is the most loaded roster in WWE history. But, considering that superstars such as John Cena and Randy Orton are approaching the end of their careers, and that we’ve already seen The Undertaker retire this year, it doesn’t hurt to start thinking about the future.

A.J. Styles is 39 years old. Finn Balor is 35, Samoa Joe is 38, and Shinsuke Nakamura is 37 – so, you can probably see where I’m heading with this…it’s not like the last few major additions to the main roster are spring chickens. So, there’s no reason to not plan ahead.

I covered this topic two years ago – pinning Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, The Four Horsewomen, and Apollo Crews as the potential cornerstones of the WWE. Yes, the same Crews that WWE has done nothing with since his main roster debut. But, hey – four out of five ain’t bad, right? So, now that two years have passed, why not revisit the issue with the new crop of talent?

10. The Authors of Pain – Akam and Rezar have improved immensely since debuting in NXT. Whether this gimmick can get over in the long run or not remains to be seen, but no one can deny the presence that these two behemoths possess. People still pay to see monsters, and that’s exactly what The Authors of Pain are.
