Survivor Series 2017 is going to be a pretty big event for Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns. They were supposed to reform at TLC but a viral infection had other plans and took The Big Dog out. Now they’re set to make their PPV re-debut against The New Day in a battle of top stables that could go on to receive legendary status if booked properly.
But it was five years ago today when the WWE Universe was treated to their first dose of The Shield. This five-year celebration ironically falls on the reemergence of the WarGames which is a match concept The Shield could be perfect for as well.
Although The Shield’s second run is said to be a shorter one with a breakup most likely occurring before WrestleMania, it’s still great to have The Hounds Of Justice back together. They seem better than ever as each member has been able to branch out and forge their own paths in the pro wrestling industry. But while their roads are running parallel once more fans should enjoy every moment.
Just think about it, if it weren’t for The Shield, Ryback might have become WWE Champion five years ago. But one thing’s for sure, the pro wrestling landscape would be a much different place right now. It just goes to show how much you can accomplish in five years. So the next time someone asks you where you see yourself in five years just tell them you’ll be celebrating the five-year anniversary of them asking you that question.
