WWE didn’t have to worry about competition from the NBA or NHL Playoffs this week. They also no longer have to worry about Roseanne on ABC but this week’s episode of Smackdown Live drew the lowest rating of the year.
The show was watched by 2.138 million viewers on a night when the viewership number should have been up because most of the networks are airing rerun programming. Aside from the election night number from November 2016, this week’s show was the least-watched episode since they moved to Tuesday nights.
The Raw numbers were also bad this week. This week’s Raw show drew 2.52 million viewers, which is one of the lowest rated episodes of Raw ever. Granted, they were up against the NBA and NHL Playoffs but they are up against playoff games every year and the never is never this low.
Hopefully, things start to pick up in late summer when they begin the hype for SummerSlam.
