The next person in a long list of departures from Impact Wrestling could be James Storm. It’s no secret that Storm’s deal expires in January. Impact will tape TV next week and that will cover them through the rest of the year so he could be done next week.
The door is open for him to return to WWE. Many of you might remember that he was used at an NXT taping in late 2015. He wasn’t under contract but there was a deal on the table for him. Instead, he opted to go back to Impact Wrestling for family issues. He returned to Impact in January 2016.
At the time, he told The Sporting News that Triple H was open to talking with him again in a couple of years. Storm said, “Hunter straight up told me, ‘Go get your life together. This is my number. Maybe in two years, we can do business again.’”
If Storm leaves then he would be the latest in a long line of wrestlers that have left this year including: Davey Richards, Madison Rayne, Al Snow, Reno Scum, Mia Yim, Mike Kanellis, Maria Kanellis, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Reby Hardy, The Pope, Gaby Castrovinci, Taryn Terrell, Rockstar Spud, Crazzy Steve, Drew Galloway, Jesse Godderz, Aron Rex, Jeff Jarrett, Marshe Rockett, Eddie Kingston, Matt Morgan, Tyrus, Low Ki, Aiden O’Shea, Marti Belle, Davey Richards, Cody Rhodes, Robbie E, Magnus, and referee Brian Hebner.
