Update on Chris Jericho’s status with WWE, recent WWE attendance figures

– WWE is advertising Hideo Itami and Chris Jericho for their live events on June 30th and July 1st in Tokyo, Japan at the Ryogoku Kokugikan. As noted, Kevin Owens defeated Chris Jericho to win the United States Championship earlier this month on SmackDown Live. After the match, Owens beat down Jericho. This was done to write Jericho off television as he is on tour with his rock band Fozzy.

The band is booked for most of this month and three dates in the UK in June. It should be noted that the last tour date that Fozzy has listed on their official website is on June 24th in Seattle. In the past, Jericho has worked live events while he was touring with Fozzy and did not appear on WWE TV. This may be the case with him advertised for the two upcoming WWE live events.
