Watch Carmella promise to expose Asuka on SmackDown Live this week

Plenty of people were surprised to hear Carmella’s name called during the draft including her. But when the last name called Carmella saw the WWE Performance Center was filled with people wishing her the best as she moonwalked onto the main roster.

Her first few months on SmackDown Live were a little shaky but once she became Miss Money In The Bank that was the obvious formula she needed to make a big impression.

It’s always important to acknowledge James Ellsworth as well. Becuase as he currently makes towns on the indie scene defending an Intergender Championship in honor of Andy Kaufman, Mella wouldn’t be where she is today without the Jobber Among Men. It’s strange how Ellsworth isn’t getting any recognition especially during highlight videos but they’ve been able to find a clever way to avoid using his name for whatever reason.

Now, Carmella is SmackDown Women’s Champion and some people might be surprised but she isn’t. With Asuka chasing her title only time will tell how Mella is able to avoid losing Cleopatra which is the name she gave her championship. But don’t be surprised if she has a couple tricks up her sleeve. Carmella is plenty resourceful and has been able to do a lot so far.

Big Cass still has merchandise in the pipeline after WWE release

She promises to unmask Asuka and expose her on SmackDown Live this week and that could mean any number of things. It was proposed on Wrestling Observer Radio that The Crowned Princess Of SmackDown Live could always reveal Asuka actually lost a couple tag matches and a battle royal in NXT so her undefeated streak was somewhat of a sham. But whatever she has planned is likely going to be entertaining if Carmella’s track record is any indication of things.

Tomorrow night on #SDLive I’m going to UNMASK Asuka. 🤑 #empressofyesterday
