UPDATE: For those of you that missed it, check out the video below of Chris Jericho issuing the challenge to Kenny Omega. This match is possible because Jericho is not under a WWE contract. Obviously, this means that we should not expect Jericho on WWE programming anytime soon, at least not until after WrestleKingdom. NJPW also announced a March return to Long Beach, California so I would not rule out seeing Jericho on that show and Chris Jericho’s cruise takes place towards the end of 2018.
Check out Jericho’s challenge below:
ORIGINAL: You really never know what can happen in pro wrestling. But one thing you can always count on is the fact that Chris Jericho is going to be as surprising as he can. For the past several weeks Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho have been throwing bombs at each other on Twitter. It’s actually been quite entertaining to follow but it turns out these two had a huge idea how to settle the score.
After Kenny Omega’s match against Beretta at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Power Struggle, a very familiar face showed up on the screen and challenged The Cleaner. It was Chris Jericho who wanted a match with Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12.
Kenny Omega accepted the challenge to make this absolute dream match a reality. I can only imagine how Vince McMahon and Company is taking this news.
Mind = blown.

I am absolutely stunned. My favorite pro wrestler of all time. Chris Jericho has returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling.
