WWE is looking at signing another top ROH star, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Dalton Castle’s deal is up this month and WWE has shown “great interest” in him. He will be a major star in NXT if WWE signs him. At this point, it would take a major offer for ROH to keep him. If he agrees to sign with WWE then we might not see him debut for several months. WWE won’t officially enter contract talks until his ROH deal is up and they have delayed signing ROH talent because of legal threats related to contract tampering from previous wrestlers that have made the jump.
For those of you not familiar with him, he plays a gimmick that can be considered to be a mix of Goldust, Gorgeous George with a little big of Ric Flair. The big difference is that he is a big-time babyface. He has said before that his influences in wrestling were names like Macho Man Randy Savage, Mr. Perfect, Frank Gotch and “British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith.
