There has been a lot of concern from fans about Sasha Banks’ WWE status because she hasn’t wrestled or appeared on any shows in several weeks. The last time she wrestled was at a live event on September 9.
The latest news on her will add to the concern because she has been pulled from an appearance on tomorrow’s MTV’s “Ridiculousness.” She has been replaced by Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and no reason was given for why Banks was pulled.
Just over a week ago, Dave Meltzer noted that people in WWE have been keeping quiet about her situation. She did appear for her scheduled autograph signing at New York Comic Con over the weekend and there were no signs of an injury.
Will WWE pull Sasha Banks from live events?
She is advertised for the upcoming European tour and some live events in December. She is also advertised for events taking place next weekend. I guess we’ll have to see if she is pulled from those shows.
Her absence is more curious because she was originally set to feud with Bayley and then plans changed and they started teaming on Raw each week without a dedicated storyline. Banks, who is considered to be one of the top female stars in the company, is also not featured on the advertisements for the WWE Evolution pay-per-view.
This could end up being nothing it might just be that she requested some time off the road. Aside from personal issues, the other time when WWE does not announce a Superstar’s absence from television is when they have suffered a concussion. Again, that might be the reason or it could be something as simple as she needed the time off. If we get more news on her status then we’ll be sure to pass it along in a future update.
