For weeks, there have been stories floating around about Rusev’s status with WWE. PWInsider reported that Rusev asked for his release in early March before he was moved from the Andre The Giant Battle Royal to the United States Championship match at WrestleMania.
The speculation increased this week when WWE edited “Rusev Day” chants during Paige’s in-ring promo during the opening segment of Smackdown Live. The edit can be seen in the video uploaded to their YouTube account.
Rusev has been pulled from the casket match at The Greatest Royal Rumble and he has been replaced with Chris Jericho. Later, Rusev deleted WWE references from his Twitter bio.
Well, according to Sports Illustrated’s Jimmy Traina, WWE has told him that Rusev is still with the company and he is scheduled to be in the 50-Man Greatest Royal Rumble match.
Wrestling fans, I asked the WWE if Rusev has left the company. WWE said those rumors are not true, he is still with the company and he will be in the Royal Rumble match at Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. #RusevDay

So, as of now, Rusev is still with the company. For all we know, the rumored issues with WWE could be overblown and Rusev could be trolling fans on Twitter.
