WWE releases Tough Enough winner Sara Lee

UPDATE: We are told that WWE made the decision to cut her. WWE would legally be allowed to release her one year from the date she signed her WWE contract after winning Tough Enough. That date would have been sometime in early September. Lee and NXT star Wesley Blake are expecting their first child in May.

ORIGINAL: You can add Tough Enough winner Sara Lee to the list of releases from Tough Enough. ZZ was released several weeks ago. Sara Lee’s release came sometime within the past couple of days. We were told that she asked to be released but we are awaiting confirmation.

Sara Lee won Tough Enough last year and has been training at the WWE Performance Center. She’s also worked on a few NXT live events.

The other winner of the show, Josh Bredl, is still training at the Performance Center and works under the name Bronson Matthews. The women’s runner-up, Mandy Rose, is featured in the upcoming season of Total Divas and she has started appearing on NXT TV.

The news about Lee’s release was first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet. We hope to be able to post more about why she was released as soon as we get more confirmation.

Several matches announced for WWE Survivor Series
