ROH planning to load up the August 22nd show due to possible competition from WWE

Ring of Honor is attempting to load up the August 22nd show in Brooklyn since the belief is that NXT will be running head-to-head with them with their own live event in the city.

As of this writing, ROH has announced Mark & Jay Briscoe vs. Alex Shelley & Kushida, which should be the main event of the show.

This will be the first time we’ve seen Shelley’s name appear online since suffered a knee injury on the first day of New Japan’s Best of the Super Junior tournament.

There’s no word on if the show will be aired on IPPV as of this writing.
