Ex-WWE writer explains how the tradition of the MLB’s Home Run Derby champion getting a WWE title started

Former WWE writer Kevin Eck has posted a new blog where talks about the story behind the presenting Major League Baseball’s Home Run Derby champion with a WWE Title belt each year.

According to Eck, it all began when Adam Jones allowed Yoenis Céspedes to pose with the belt that Eck gave Jones several years back.

Eck would go on to say that Jones brings the belt to each Home Run Derby and lets the winner pose with the title.

It’s a short, but an interesting blog. You can read the full blog entry at this link.
