While there is not an update on Lucha Underground being renewed by the El Rey Network, Lucha Underground officials are in talks with Televisa in Mexico.
The two sides were said to be close to finalizing the deal. Even with the show not being given a second season here in the states, that deal would have almost guaranteed a second season for the show, but it would just air in Mexico.
A few contracted wrestlers were told this past few days that they can take weekend dates in September, which is not a good sign that the El Rey Network would be renewing them.
