Update 1x: PWinsider.com has updated their story by reporting that a source told them that Ray did not quit TNA because he was not under contract with them.
Ray being back in TNA was not meant to be long-term, but rather short-term as the GM. TNA had the ending of that story already planned and filmed it prior to this week’s TV tapings.
Original: TNA brought back Bully Ray to be their new GM on Impact Wrestling recently, but according to Pwinsider.com, Ray is already gone from the company due to being unhappy with the current state of the company and feeling it was better to distance himself.
Ray was signed to a per appearance deal and wasn’t under contract. Ray did not appear at the Wednesday and Thursday nights worth of TNA TV tapings. Those tapings were for Xplosion and PPV episodes, not Impact Wrestling episodes.
We hope to have more on this story.
