Ronda Rousey, who got her “Rowdy” nickname from “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, is dedicating her fight at UFC 190 to Piper. Rousey and Piper became friends after Piper gave her his blessing to use his nickname. She appeared on Piper’s podcast a few weeks ago.
Rousey posted the following on Instagram after the news of Piper’s passing:
