Brian Fritz of Sporting News and Between The Ropes podcast revealed that the GoFundMe campaign to assist pro wrestler Jerry Lynn with medical related costs has met and exceeded its goal. Which is great news.
Just after midnight Thursday night on the east coast, the GoFundMe campaign to help
Jerry Lynn reached its goal. As of this morning, it has now exceeded the goal and risen to $17,585.
Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to the campaign and helped spread the word to make this happen. All together, 501 people donated which is truly amazing.
The wrestling community and its fans really pulled together to help out Jerry including those that don’t have much but still made a donation.  And so many people had such nice things to say about Jerry as a person and their fond memories of him in the ring.
The campaign also received donations from the likes of Steve Corino, Kevin Kelly, Adam Cole, Christopher Daniels, Nick Aldis, Eric Young, Lita, Court Bauer, Charles Robinson, Bill Behrens and others including very generous donations from Mick Foley, Austin Aries, Scott D’Amore and Chris Jericho who actually put the campaign over the top.
The campaign is still open and you can donate at www.GoFundMe.com/helpjerrylynn and the money above the goal will be donated to the Nashville Rescue Mission which offers food, clothing, and shelter to the homeless and recovery programs to those having problems.
Lynn gave the following recorded message thanking fans for their help:
A special thank you from Jerry Lynn to everyone who helped with his #GoFundMe campaign this morning from the hospital before he undergoes surgery.
